One of the great bonuses of being a part of an elementary school, is being able to use our older students to inform our learning. The 4th grade students did research projects on storms and extreme weather and then created these awesome books filled with their learning.
The Pre K students are currently working on a unit about wind and water that highlights weather. This was a perfect opportunity for us to learn more about weather, while letting our older students shine as the teachers. The 4th grade students did a great job explaining their projects to the younger students. This created a lot of curiosity in the pre k students. I have been asked many questions about things they heard about in the presentation.
