We read a book called THE UGLY VEGETABLES. In this class, the family grows vegetables and makes soup with to share with neighbors.
Here we are, cutting vegetables for our soup. We saved the vegetable scraps and then went down to the community garden to gather worms. The children dug and gathered worms and brought them into the classroom. We fed them the vegetable scraps and brought the worms into the classroom. We decided to bring the worms outside when they were escaping throughout the classroom!!
